Amara Fragrances Carob — Leather & Coffee Eau de Parfum

Why we chose it: Amara is a niche fragrance house with a base in Dubai, and its six Eaux de Parfum were developed with one of the oldest perfume houses in Grasse, France, established in 1779. Leather fragrances can come across as harsh. Carob softens it with suede, iris and vanilla, and lifts the opening with pineapple and red fruits, so it feels polished rather than heavy.

What it does: It opens with saffron, red fruits and pineapple. The heart moves into suede, iris, roasted coffee and vanilla. It settles on Italian leather and amber.

Texture & Finish: Fruity and bright at first, then warm and textured, drying down to a deep leather-amber trail. Spray 2–4 times from 10–15 cm without rubbing.

Best For: Evenings, events and cooler weather. It's made as a men's fragrance and makes an easy gift for him, but anyone who likes leather and coffee notes may enjoy it. If you want something fresh, choose Halcyon.

Worth Knowing: This is a rich scent, and the coffee and vanilla notes come forward as it warms on skin, so start lightly. Amara's formulas use common fragrance components such as linalool and coumarin, so patch test first if your skin is very reactive. Avoid irritated skin and eyes, and store away from heat and direct sun.

Spray Carob onto pulse points such as the wrists, neck, behind the ears, and inner elbows. Allow the fragrance to dry naturally on the skin without rubbing. For enhanced longevity, apply after moisturizing or on freshly cleansed skin.
