Second Skin Duo — CLE CCC Cream & Antonym Baked Foundation

A tinted SPF base plus a baked powder to layer over it, for skin that looks like skin, with more coverage only where you want it.

Why we chose it: These two layer rather than compete. The CCC Cream gives tint and hydration in one step. The baked foundation goes on top wherever you want a little more coverage or less shine, without flattening the finish.

What it does: The CCC Cream evens the look of tone with colour-adapting pigments, plus niacinamide and hydrolysed hyaluronic acid, and is labelled SPF 50. The Antonym Certified Organic Baked Foundation adds light, buildable coverage and cuts surface shine, with squalane for a little emollience.

Best For: Normal or combination skin and anyone who wants a natural base they can adjust through the day. If you need full coverage, this isn't it. If you want a single product, the CCC Cream on its own is the simpler choice.

Worth Knowing: The baked foundation gives light coverage, contains talc, and needs well-moisturised skin if you're dry or flaky. The CCC Cream contains bergamot, orange and ylang ylang oils, which may not suit very reactive skin. Most people apply less complexion product than the amount used for SPF testing, so we'd still wear a dedicated sunscreen underneath. Colour-adapting pigments don't remove the need to choose the closest shade in both products. Bought separately, these two come to AED 211.50; as a duo, you save AED 22.50 (about 11%).
