Scarlette
Amara Fragrances Scarlette — Fruity Floral Leather Eau de Parfum
Red fruits and saffron over iris and leather — a confident scent for nights out.
Why we chose it: Amara is a niche fragrance house with a base in Dubai, and its six Eaux de Parfum were developed with one of the oldest perfume houses in Grasse, France, established in 1779. Fruity florals can easily tip into sweet and forgettable. Black pepper, saffron and a leather base give Scarlette an edge, so it feels bold rather than sugary.
What it does: It opens with black pepper, saffron and red fruits. The heart softens into violet leaf, iris and lavender. It settles on leather, vetiver and dry woods.
Texture & Finish: A vivid, spicy-fruity opening that smooths into a powdery floral, then a warm, slightly smoky leather trail. Spray 2–4 times from 10–15 cm without rubbing.
Best For: Evenings, occasions and anyone who likes a fragrance with presence. If leather and dry woods aren't for you, or you want something lighter for daytime, Halcyon or Utopia will be easier to wear.
Worth Knowing: This is a deliberately bold scent, so start with 2 sprays and build up. Amara's formulas use common fragrance components such as linalool and coumarin, so patch test first if your skin is very reactive. Avoid irritated skin and eyes, and store away from heat and direct sun.
