Amara Fragrances Zephyr — Spiced Oud-Inspired Eau de Parfum

Why we chose it: Amara is a niche fragrance house with a base in Dubai, and its six Eaux de Parfum were developed with one of the oldest perfume houses in Grasse, France, established in 1779. Oud scents can be heavy or overly sweet. Zephyr leans on spice and dry woods instead, which gives it depth that reveals itself slowly rather than all at once.
What it does: It opens with pink pepper, cumin and ginger. The heart moves into cypress, capriol and cade, a smoky, resinous note. It settles on vetiver, guaiac wood and sandalwood, with oud-inspired accords.
Texture & Finish: Spicy and warm at first, then smoky and woody, drying down to an earthy skin scent. Spray 2–4 times from 10–15 cm without rubbing.
Best For: Evenings, cooler months, and anyone, man or woman, who enjoys oud and spice. If you want something fresh or sweet, Halcyon or Ambrosia Royale will suit you better.
Worth Knowing: This is an oud-inspired blend, not a pure oud oil. Cumin and cade give it a savoury, smoky edge that some people love and others don't, so try it on skin before deciding. Amara's formulas use common fragrance components such as linalool and coumarin, so patch test first if your skin is very reactive. Avoid irritated skin and eyes, and store away from heat and direct sun.
